As With Any Tractor, The Main Objective Is Safety – First, Last, And Always No Alcoholic Beverages Of Any Kind Are Permitted Alcohol Consumption And Unsportsmanlike Behavior Are Grounds For Disqualification
Rules For Stock Antique Class
1. Antique Models – 1900 through 1965; must have original serial number. Tractors will be checked if in question.
2. Tractors must retain stock appearance.
3. Gasoline, LP, and diesel fuel tractors only. No alcohol. No nitrous.
4. Tractors must weigh within limits of each weight class. 100 pound overweight allowance.
5. No altered tire cutting, trimming, etc. allowed.
6. No dual wheels.
7. Must have original tire and rim sizes in antique class.
8. A pair of wheelie bars are required as of 01/01/2009.
9. Clevis or D ring preferred.
10. Draw bar must be stationary with no more than 1” movement.
11. 20” maximum height to the top of the draw bar with minimum 3/4” draw bar thickness; 18” minimum draw bar length from center to rear axle to back of hole.
12. No part of draw bar can be touching sled chain while pulling.
13. Tractor must have working brakes.
14. No turbo or super chargers unless factory equipped.
15. Add-on weights allowed. Add-on weights are not to extend over 11 feet from centerline of rear axle.
16. No one is allowed on the track except pullers and officials.
17. Pullers 16 years of age and younger must have a signed release by parent or guardian to pull.
18. Tractors must weigh out after each pull and have their draw bar checked. Driver is to stay on the tractor
19. Drivers must remain seated during the pull with at least one hand on the steering wheel.
20. Tractors can pull no higher than 3rd gear and must start with tight chain. No jerking of sled. Rough starts will be red-flagged.
21. Each puller has two attempts to pass the 20-foot mark. Pull is official after the 20-foot mark is passed.
22. Front wheels may not leave the ground more than 24” during pull.
23. Excessive loss of liquid (steady or intermittent stream) discharged on the track will be red-flagged.
24. The pull will be red-flagged and measured at the spot the tractor runs out of bounds if any part of the tractor or sled crosses the boundary line.
25. Pull is over when forward motion of sled is stopped or red flag is dropped.
26. A protest must be filed within the weight class before the next class begins at the sign-up booth. A $50.00 protest fee must be paid before the protest will be allowed.
27. No reckless driving of tractors will be permitted on or off the track. Track officials may disqualify any tractor driver for non-sportsmanship conduct, intoxication, or failure to stop when red-flagged.
28. Rules are subject to revision at any time by track officials. At all times, the tractors, drivers, and pulls will be governed by track officials and flagmen. Entry fee will not be refunded if disqualified. Track officials’ rulings and decisions are final.
Rules For Stock Super Antique Class
1. Maximum RPM 4000.
2. Pull is automatically disqualified when boundaries are exceeded.
3. Fans removed on engines over 3000 RPM.
4. All tire sizes allowed. Cut tires allowed.
5. Must have closed ring hitch with min. 3” ID and ¾” diameter. Tractor must not obstruct chains or clevis.
6. Must have working kill switch.
7. Tractors can pull in any gear. Rough starts will be red-flagged.
8. 75’ false start allowance.
9. Tractors not meeting specifications will not be allowed to pull.
10. Super tractors cannot pull in antique classes. Antique tractors can pull in super classes.
11. All stock antique rules apply.
Rules For Hot Farm Class
1. Any year model allowed.
2. A pair of wheelie bars are required.
3. Engine shields are required.
4. Fans removed on engines over 3000 RPM.
5. Spring loaded hand throttles that will automatically return to idle speed are encouraged.
6. All tractors must have working breaks.
7. Must use stock transmission housing. No aluminum replacements.
8. All size tires allowed. Cut tires allowed.
9. Must have working kill switch.
10. Tractors can pull in any gear. Rough starts will be red-flagged.
11. Pull is automatically disqualified when boundaries are exceeded with no distance recorded.
12. 75’ false start allowance.
13. Any tractor deemed unsafe by track officials will not be allowed to pull.
14. All stock antique rules apply.
15. All weights must be secure. No loose weights.
Rules For Modern Farm Stock Tractors
1. Antique tractors allowed.
2. Stock or out-of-field appearance.
3. No dual wheels / No 4 x 4.
4. Must have original equipment / Factory drawbar with clevis.
5. Turbo must be factory equipped.
6. Must use manufactured weights / No additional weight brackets other than OEM brackets.
7. OEM air cleaner or filters only.
8. Must have working governor.
9. May pull in any gear.
10. Pull is automatically disqualified when boundaries are exceeded.
11. Flagmen are in charge of the track.
12. Rules are subject to revision at any time by track officials.
Rules For V8 Modified Classes
1. Tractors must retain tractor appearance.
2. Roll cages are required.
3. Wheelie bars that support the weight of the tractor are required.
4. Break away kill switches required.
5. Spring return throttle required.
6. Single carburetor; gas or racing fuel only – No alcohol or nitrous.
7. No engine driven fans.
8. Steel shield or blanket wrap required for bell housing and engine.
9. Hitches have a 20” maximum height, min. 18’ from center line of rear axle, min. ¾” thick and 3” D ring with no movement.
10. All weights must be secured – no loose weights.
11. False start distance of 75’ allowed.
12. Pull is automatically disqualified when boundaries are exceeded and no distance is recorded.
13. Any tractor deemed unsafe by track officials will not be allowed to pull.
14. Rules are subject to revision at any time by track officials.
15. At all times, the tractors, drivers, and pulls will be governed by track officials and flagmen.
16. Entry fee will not be refunded if disqualified.
17. Track officials’ rulings and decisions are final.
Rules For Truck Pull
1. Driver must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. Drivers 16 & 17 may compete with an insurance release signed by their parent or guardian.
2. No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted. Alcohol consumption or unsportsmanlike behavior will be grounds for disqualification.
3. The classes are as follows and will pull in the order listed:
Two wheel drive with a maximum weight of 5500 lbs.
4 x 4s with a maximum weight of 5500 lbs.
Two wheel drive with a maximum weight of 6500 lbs.
4 x 4s with a maximum weight of 6500 lbs.
Street class with a maximum weight of 6500 lbs.
4 x 4s with a maximum weight of 7500 lbs.
Street class with a maximum weight of 7500 lbs.
Open class with a maximum weight of 8500 lbs.
Street class with a maximum weight of 8500 lbs.
4. Drivers pull in either 1st or 2nd gear – no shifting allowed.
5. A puller may have a second try if he/she stops within 75 feet of start line. However, in a pull-off, the puller has only one try.
6. No passengers allowed in the truck while it is pulling.
7. Loss of equipment under the green will stop the pull.
8. There will be an automatic disqualification in all classes if the pulling truck touches the sidelines.
9. All trucks when entering or leaving the property are not to exceed 5 mph and when not pulling must remain in the pit area.
10. All registered pull trucks must have their number cards visible at all times in the windshield.
11. Pullers may have sled spotted on starting line where desired if he/she notifies sled operator in sufficient time when sled is returning to the starting line from previous pull.
12. All decisions concerning truck classification and/or eligibility will be made by the track officials.
13. Rules are subject to revision at any time by the track officials.
14. At all times, the trucks, drivers, and pulls will be governed by track officials and flagmen.
15. Entry fee will not be refunded if disqualified.
16. Lack of adherence to these rules will be grounds for disqualification.
17. Track officials’ decisions are final.
Modified Truck Specifications
1. All trucks must have factory-like hood, doors, seats, and bed – either pick-up bed or flat bed.
2. All trucks must have a hitch height of 30” maximum height to the top of the hitch.
3. All trucks must pull from a clevis or D ring with 3” ID.
4. All trucks must have a kill switch on the rear of the truck to stop engines in case of emergency.
5. No nitrous or alcohol fuel.
6. All trucks must have working brakes with factory brake pedal.
7. Trucks will carry no fuel or batteries inside the cab.
8. Automatic transmissions need blanket.
9. Manual transmissions must have steel bell housing and fly wheel.
10. U joints on drive shafts must be shielded.
11. Trucks manufactured for pulling must have drive shaft loops.
12. Lack of adherence to these specifications will be grounds for disqualification.
13. Rules are subject to revision at any time by track officials.
14. All decisions concerning truck classification and/or eligibility will be made by the track officials.
15. Track officials’ decisions are final.
